Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree

The photo challenge from The Daily Post this week is carefree. What is more carefree than a multi-day hike through the wilderness? This image was made at Happy Camp on the Chilkoot Trail . Originally established by Tlingit people as a trade route into the interior of Canada, it later became the route used by those in the Klondike Gold Rush. Happy Camp is the first campground after reaching the summit of the pass.  Click here to see the trail profile and thus the reason why “Happy Camp” is an appropriate name.
